Use Mats have the same foam core, therefore the
same protection as our full size mats, but we do
the coating a different way. Full size Professional
mats are built for heavy use day in and day out. We
apply heavy coatings on both sides and edges to
make them durable for constant use. Our home mat
has a lighter application of coating on only one
side. Even though it is thinner than a professional
mat, it is tough enough for the heaviest home use.
Doing this allows us to offer the home mat at a
considerable savings per square foot over a full
size mat. The most economical way to ship the mat
would be in two sections that would tape together
before use (tape provided). Constructing a mat this
way allows us to ship by U.P.S. A one piece mat is
available, but it would have to ship common
